If you could kill animals with it 12 years ago, they haven't evolved that much since then so unless you really want to shell out some cash for a new bow, just tune up the old and get after it. You'll find lots of gadget freaks on this site that don't believe a deer can be killed with any less than the latest and greatest. Good luck.

I would hunt with what I have, get new string and cables start practicing. I say this because you hung them up onece for a good long while. So I would give it a season before you put a lot of money back into it. I don't see how but yu might hand them up for a couple of years again. But thats me I don't have money to burn. When I have to explane to the wife why I got to spend that money I really must need it.
