Default Bug protection

I'm going on my first black bear hunt in Manitoba in late May. What is recommended for bug protection? Will DEET's odor scare off the bears? Should Ibuy a bug tamer suit?

I got a Thermacell this year and it has done a great job of keeping Texas mosquitos and horse flies away from me. Animals don't seem to pay it any mind. I killed a doe with it on and sitting beside me. Same goes for one of the hogs I killed. It is a great investment.

How do "Bucks" react to the thermacell and other insect sprays? I know does that have done alot more than bucks around me concerning my scent. A friend of mine recommended No Stinkin Bugs and swears by it. Can anyone reccommend a goo headnet/face mask?

I don't know how I ever survived without a Thermacell. That thing just plain works. Black flies during turkey season are now a non-issue.
