about 45 minutes....PURE LUCK!! the water was WAY up but i waded the scarey waters back to the freak zone....not long after day break i could hear splashing towards me...a scrawning and old doestopped at 30yds broadside...i shot and missed...i was shaking....she walked and stopped directly in front of me about 22yds...shot and missed....shot again and got her....she proceeded to walk about 15yds and stop again so i shot and missed again...i knew she was hit so i decided to keep the last arrow in case of an emergency...ended up finding her not to far away...thanks to some of my other huntin' buddies who helped in the search...she was all skin and bones....no meat at all....i ended up donating her to the tiger rescue across the street....even though i didn't get to harvest any meat from her she was still a trophy for me....we aged her to be7 or so...we don't know if she was ill or just old....bonded with my bow from that moment on.
