Moultree 1.3= Works!
I placed my xmas present out over the new year and in thre days had about 30 pics of which approx 5 were duds and a few were white outs but I did get a substantial amount of godd ones. It works good enuff to see what you need to go after for sure. Well worth the 99 nucks the wife spent....Thanks Baby! Best Present yet, now if I could just talk her into that new Bowtech Tribute for next gift.

Nice looking bucks. Does it hook around the tree with any type of secure lockable cable or does it strap to the tree or what? Those pics are definately worth $99 but I also don't feel like "giving" $99 to some idiot either... my area is pretty bad about things like that[:'(]

Congrats on the pics. Looks like you will have some fun this winter and spring checking that trail cam.
I am looking forward to getting a trail camera myself, just for the simple fact it gives me something to do pluspictures of what I have to look forward to next season.
Just a recommendation, don't go marching in to retrieve the pictures every three days. Wait a week or more if you can. Less chance of spooking the deer or having them pattern your movements.
Just something to think about and pass along.

Nice, I got one as well. I'll have to give it a try. And like the other said, don't check it too often. I check my camera's every 3 weeks at the very most, 4 weeks on avg.

Mine works good too. The attaching and security are 2 reasons why the moultrie is cheaper. It attaches with 2 shoe lace like strings with 4 little clips to hold them from sliding. Sounds bad but it actually works really good.
Security consists of 2 plastic loops on one side that goesaround another loop on the other side so that you could put a lock though it to keep it closed. Just cutting the lock or the loops would be easy to do.
I'm sure these things could be modified to ones likings but as is, isn't the best.
But the pics are great!

my moultrie 200 3.1 sucks and im taking it back. the flash doesnt work out of the box and i walked past it like 5 times before it took a picture of me. very disappointed in it. all the options it offers and it simply cant take the picture. got 11 photos all at night and they're all black. somehow without using a flash and taking no more than 11 pictures it also managed to completely drain an energizer 6volt battery. yep the big square ones. im gonna exchange it for another and if it sucks too im going to put forth the extra cash for the cuddeback

My plan is not to check it more than 1 time per 10-15 days. I was checking a little soon due to the fact I wanted to make sure I was setting it correct and testing battery. The good news is those pics are approx 300 yards out my back door so not much to disturb. I think you could use a small cable and loop it through the existing plastic loops made on the camera. I do take a scent free shower and spry down when I check. I cant wait to put in my Hot spots this summer. Thanks for the tips.

Sounds like you are taking the right precautionary measures. Definately treat checking your camera like you are going out to hunt. Spray down with scent elimination spray and even try to devote one pair of clothes, including boots (rubber boots are probably the best),to checking your camera that you can keep on washing in scent elimination detergent and storing in scentelimination containers/bags.
You have the luxury of having the camera close to home, hopefully that might lesson the chance of theft. Check out www.chasinggame.com for other camera info andways they secure their cameras in the field.
Thewebsite is definately full of useful information including how toproperly set up your trail cam.Looks like youhave taken the time to check to see if your camera is working properly. If you find that you are getting just half of the deer, many suggest you point thecamera down the trail instead of just where you think the deer will stop. This way you lengthenyour field of view and better you chance of getting photos.

That's a great looking pic of the 2 buck's ,it sure is nice to know what you got running around in your bush while your not around .The best way to monitor your hunting area when you can't be there .Definately an excellent gift . As for the Tribute ,you may have to round up some serious browney point's for that one ,but I'm sure if you work real hard on her it just might work .Repeat ,repeat and repeat ,I need this new bow honey .
