I take the "don't believe the hype" position on this topic. I piss out of my stand every day I hunt...and I killed 5 deer this year. I hardly practice scent elimination..and shower with Axe body wash every morning.

It's either the whole scent elimination is BS...or deer in Indiana (and Wisconsin too) are really stupid.

The latest research showed that bucks reacted equally well to doe estrous urine and human urine. Those two scents tied for 1st in tests conducted using various types of urines and other scents.
All the studies I've seen show that buck urine as well as human urine were effective, and doe urine was least successful.

Hilarious!

I have peed many times and have had deer right in the area with an hour or so and have never spooked one. However, no big bucks, just does and small bucks.

Rob--after checking, you were right. I was going by memory and I should know better! Still, human urine was pretty effective as an attractant.

It's the curiosity effect. They know it's piss..but not sure what it's from (my take). They're sure not going to spook from urine.
