Success in WV!!!
I went to stand this evening at 3:15pm. Got set up on top of a ridge about 200yrds from where I hunted first morning.
Saw one squirrel at 4:25pm.
Stood up in my stand at 5:00pm to strech.
At 5:05pm a doe walked infront of the stand. I came to full draw. She stepped into a opening and I let her fly from the High Country Brute Force. She dropped instantly and begin bawling as my arrow was wedged in her spine. She rolled over and broke my XX78 Superslam. Flopped down the hill about 10yrds and kicked a few times...
At 5:35pm I climbed down and approached her. She was still alive trying to get to her feet so I launched another one through her shoulder and out her neck. She kicked some more. I retrieved my arrow. Then went to get my hunting buddy. We returned to find her almost expired. He slit her throat and ended it at 5:50pm.
From here on out....no more does. Unless one wonders by my stand. I should have taken a picture but I don't think this doe was worth it. She wasn't very big, but I'm happy with her. She'll be good eat'n.
**Only bad part of the day: My hunting buddy shot over a bobcat at 10yrds almost underneath his stand.
