So I am watching TV tonight and Todays Bowhunter comes on. The first horse chit shot i see (and he admits it) is a quartering to shot. The second after the call the buck in is a head on (on the run) shot. So whats up with this?

I didn't see the incident your refering to but I have seen a number of outdoor shows on the Men's Channel recentlyand I would say it is not uncommon anymore to see quartering to and straight on shots (I'm of course talking about a bow)on does. Come to think of it, I did see a well known writer/hunter shoot anbull elk straight on in the neck at five or ten yards.

they'll show anything as long as it gets people watching and talking. creative marketing i think it's called in there terminology. didn't see the show but get a good picture from what you guys are saying. don't like the decision making on some of those shots IMO. happy holidays to all and hope you had a successfully season.
