if that deer is more than a year and a half he's a cull deer, i'd get rid of him, but he's definitley a pretty interesting specimen

I saw one like that a few years ago on Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He was a big bodied spike with spikes about 15+ inches long. He was an awesome sight. Those 8 pointers in the pics would be the ones I'd want though.

Yeah Im kind of anxious to see what the spike grows next year more so than the other bucks.

Actually Im letting those other bucks and severalother 120+ class bucksgo til next year and see what they look like. I was lucky enough to get some real nice bucks (one of whichmeasured 143" and was a mainframe 10 with 2 kickers)during bow, black powder and shotgun.

There's a spike in the bow shop in Forest City, NC (mounted) with one 18" antler and one 17". I saw it last week......and was duly impressed. It was more "traditional", though (not straight up like the one on these photos).

Diesel77 I know we were not in any contest, but what did you score this year total for bucks. This is what I did, best year ever

10 point 142 (MI)
8 point 118 (MI)
7 Point 105(OH)
Thses are all gross, I will net on the 10 when I get it back.

Well are you talking for bow or for all? These are my buck bow kills
143" 10pt main, had 2" stickers so he was a 12pt- bow
124" 8 pt -bow
??pt - bow - didnt bother scoring due to broken rack/tines would have been a mainframe 8pt with forks on both G2s, he was really cool looking but he was all busted up, guess he would have been in the low to mid 120's perhaps??

PM me if you want pics of them, I dont want to post more pics or I'll get flamed by none other than yourself for picture spaminghehe

Last year we had a buck with about 10 inch spikes running around, and no one ever shot him that I know of, but I haven't seen him all year.
