I love mine its a 2003 model. Great customer service. Great tech support. Just not a big fan of the binary cams, or I would own a newer model. Go shoot one and youll understand all the fuss.
I agree, my 2004 has been a good bow. I also do not like the binary cams.

here is another question.
I've been cecking out some of the features of the 05 mand 06 bowtechs. the adjuster on the cam lets you adjust the let off percentage from 65% to 80%. My question. In order to enter a deer in the P&Y record books dosen't it have to be shot using only 65% let off? If so how are
officials to know that 65% let off was used when the deer was shot if it is able to be adjusted in the feild?
Just wondering. Won't changr my mind about purchasing one.

What is wrong with the binary cams? It does take a little getting used to the "different" pull, but after getting used to it, I would never change. Plus, it is the only bow that never needs the cams adjusted. I have about 2000 shots on mine, and still perfect like the day I bought it.

Two ways to answer your question. One, Pope and Young revised their system a year or two ago to now include bows with more than 65% letoff. However, I believe there is an asterisk placed next to the record book entry in order to signify this deviation from their traditional rules.

Two, even before they changed they went with the honor system on issues such as this. If the hunter reported using 65% letoff when hunting then they took it at face value. Ofcourse, if the bow being used was only offered in 80% letoff then I am sure someone would call them on it.

Lastly, and back to your original question, Bowtech makes some superb bows. I am going to be going on my 6th one this winter ('06 Old Glory)...as well as one Diamond, the Triumph model. I really have no complaints. They continue to revise and improve their lineup each year..and typically with suggestions from folks like yourself. I cannot really think of another company that takes consumer feedback as seriously. Their models generally are cutting edge in design and offer one of the best combinations of speed, forgiveness, accuracy and tunability. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of them.

Well said, Frank. You saved me a bunch of typing.

Hey, why does your post count say 74? Does it start over after you hit 10,000 or something?
