Default tough season......nowwww TOUGHER!

ive got over 150 hours in the woods this year
the first week of the season i grunted a buck over to 30 yards
drew back and missed.. i get out of my tree and pace it off and try to find my arrow...35ydsthen couple weeks later.

.i look up and there is a button buck standing 20 yds from my stand ..grab my bow and all of a sudden it ..and the deerbehind him ran..it saw me? he ran from my scent bomb? nope my good old nieghbor decides to hunt the last 1/2 hr of light and walks down the middle of the field at 4:30.

then stupid gun season...
nothing then last week i decide a deer is soon to be a dead deer.. the whole browwn its down stated to come in..(because i didnt get a deer and wanted meat) a nice doe steps out about 50 yds i raise my mzloader.. put the scope on her chest cock back BOOm yes i got my 1st doe... she walks away stands in the bushhes....no i didnt[:@]reload the gun she steps back out same exact spot boom...MISSSSS... she trotsup the hill ireload get out of my stand step out shes looking up the hill so i put the cross hairs on her neck BOOm ..no deer ,YES itmust of dropped i thought i take one more step out and there she is in the hedrow looking in the field...i dropped my gun in aw...
*i think the problem was after shooting i looked over the scope to try and see the deer, through the smoke.*

last weekend
i rode my quad in the woods the other night an saw6 or 7 deer it was around dark . the next day i headed out to stalk them when i sawi came up onthe hill where they ALWAYS are and she stood i spooked her but kept riding ahead i kicked out 3 more i parked my quad wondering wat to do and then i see legs moving right where i spooked the doe i walked up and she crossed i kept stalkin and then i thought WOW shes closer then i think i better stop moving ..in an open spot i had to stop
she saw me and ran.
then i decided to leave..the way out was the way she ran soo i was riding and saw her.. i said forget it but i stopped around the corner still watching ...she started to move and was heading across where i could shoot i rann off my quad and shee came out where expected offering a 30 yd shot. came to full draw ..forgetting everything i learned i release under her bellly she took 5 steps and kept ffeeding
i got my arrow and she was going to zig zag back acrross the trail so i got tothe trail and she sped up a bit while going acroos this time so i had to move quiick i at full draw and she looked up...upong releasing she jumped the string...now 20 dollars in the whole (cantfind the arrow) i went home

i was discouraged last week it was like depressing(before i miseed the doe with a gun)now im going back out with my bow

thanks for readin...if you actually want to read the whole thing

Dang dude you suck.Just kidding. Keep after it this got to get better. You need to mark your yardages so you know for sure when you shoot.

I missed a doe with my first ever shot opportunity. Don't give up. I went back to the same spot the next day and didn't miss. I went from being so bummed to being overjoyed. PS what ever happened with your hog hunt? Did you find one?

Get a pendulum sight for your bow, you wont need a rangefinder inside 30 yards if your shooting over 275 fps typically and you stay within 18 to 25 feet up in the tree once you get it dialed in.

Check your sight on your muzzeloader, in other words sight it in as close to using it as possible, wether that means a day before you go out or 2 weeks, just double check.

Tough. But you have to admit that it must have been very exciting. Some people hunt and never even see deer.

The glass is half full, not half empty!
