Looking for pics of a buck snort wheezing
At the risk of being accused of spamming my message, I also posted this in the taxidermy section but am hoping that someone maybe has a picture out there and bowhunters are the most likely to have been close enough to capture this moment on film...
I have a few good bucks (6)already on the walland am looking to do something a little different with this years buck. When he came in he was chasing a doe and snort wheezing at her to show his frustration. I'd like to capture that look but my taxidermist admits that he has nothing to guide him on that look. He wondered if it would be similar to the Phlemen pose?I've only seen three deer do it and unfortunately, I cant seem to be able to put that look into words. Does anyone have pics of abuck or a mount snort wheezing that we can use for reference?

Im a little surprised your taxidermist didnt already know this...have him call WASCO and ask about the Gene Smith form. Most of us just alter a regular form into a snort wheeze...which, by the way, is not a flehmen posture. Thats two completely different things. One is a vocalization, and one is an attempt to analyze incoming scent for estrus content. Good luck on your mount!
