No. You probably shot too low and hit the briskett, no vitals.

Yes, on angles that exit low behind the diaphram where fat/guts have plugged the exit hole. Deer bleeds a ton internally, but little to none reaches the ground.

I misjudged the distance last year on a buck and hit him really low. When I got down, I foundhalf of my arrow and it was full of white hair with very little blood on it. There were very small specks of blood on the ground .....too small to trail. I had a friend bring his dog and we found it that way. The deer went about 125yds and when we skinned him, the other piece of my arrow was right through the center of the heart. The arrow had plugged the hole and stopped blood from spilling onto the ground. We were relieved to find him.
