Hunting Scenario - Evening rain/snow predidicted
I just want to throw a scenario out there. Lets say you are on the evening hunt and get a shot at a deer an hour to an hour and half before dark. Lets also say that you know it wasn't a double lung shot and you think it was a gut shot. When you shot it was clear (weather), but there is rain/snow predicted in the forcast overnight. What do you do? Do you go after it immediately, or do you wait till morning? Where I live pursuit of game after legal times is illegal, even if you have no weapon, so waiting a few hours and going after it in the dark is not an option.
I will post my opinion a little later.

I think I would give him as much time as possible, then check the trail. At least get some markers down. If you jump him, then mark it and let him go 'til morning. If he's dead, then you got him.
Just my opinion. Bad laws that won't allow you to look for wounded game after dark.
