Step sons 1st deer
Edit - Sorry, I generally post in archery forums and I meant to post this threadin the gun hunting forums.
I took my step son out yesterday for our shotgunseason opener and he scored a nice fat doe. She dressed out at 125 lbs. which is pretty nicefor a 1st deer. I had him use my TC Black Diamond and he got her down with the first and only shot.
I'm proud of his accomplishment and I thought I'd share it with y'all.
I also toldhim that since he's got one with a gun, he's not allowed to kill any more unless it's with a bow.
Doesn't he look like he's having fun in the attached picture? I know it was for me.

Man, thats great! My son killed his first buck this year. A nice eight. He was so excited, although I dont know who was more excited, him or I. I dod not realize how emotional it would make me. That boy has hunted hard for the last weveral years and it never came together for him until this year. It brought back lots of good memeories of my father and I. Pretty tough stuff.
Tell your boyu congrats and that the next post we want to see is that of "WALLY WALLHANGER"
