I called a local butcher shop and they said it should be ok. The temps dropped to the upper 30s last night but the water temp must be in the low 40s by now so it actually cooled her down really well. She was real stiff today and definitely cool when I was field dressing.

Congrats on the deer...I really wish more people who ask for tracking advise would give the end result whether it be good or bad...though it's always better when its good!

Ironically, most deer head to water when they're dying. If you can't find a shot deer, always look at the water sources, it's very likely that you might find your dead deer nearby.
