If I saw an albino or a piebald and it was the size deer I was hunting, I'd definately shoot it. On the other hand, if I was hunting a mature doe or a decent buck and a small, whitefive-month-old came by, I'dpass. I wouldn't let the deer's color affect whether or not I'd shoot it. Other than getting the bad genes out of the herd, I wouldn't see the point in it.

I heard that if you shoot an albino deer it brings bad luck to the shooter. I heard you startgrowing hair in abnormal places when you get older , and start losing hair in normal places.
HUH????????????

I see by your pic you must have shot an albino when you were younger.

It's not legal in OK either, well at least I don't think it's legal. I'm pretty sure they're protected here, but I'd have to check. If it's legal in your state, I'd say go for it. Good luck.

Its illegal to shoot albinos in Wisconsin... over half albino is illegal i think.

Yes its illegal in Wisconsin to shoot Albinos, but if it has any amount of brown on it, its considered Piebald, which are 100 legal to shoot in WI. I shot an Piebald doe one year. Its legs were solid snow white all the way up to the shoulders and the rest was brown.

as far as lore goes, there is a difference between an all white 'spirit' deer, and an albino. if i saw an all white deer with brown eyes and normally colored nose, i would say thanks and not shoot. if it was an albino and legal i'd shoot. i spent about 3 years with a traditional lakota family and a lot of their way of life rubbed off on me, and that's been a good thing for me.
