well here is an update my neighbor was lucky enough to arrow this deer this morning. He chased a doe right to him. Looks like hell go mid 130's a little lower than i had thought. Sure enough he has a bald spot where i had marked him right on top his back behind his shoulder. Wish i had got him but somehow i belive justice was served on that aerobatic sap sucker.

i think my math is right
280 fps arrow reaches a target at .32 seconds
1100 fps speed of sound reaches at .08 seconds
these deer have some dang good reaction times.....his ears told his brain to tell his legs to get the hell out of dodge all in less than a quarter a second. thats pretty cool....if someone shot at me, it would hit me and i would definately still wonder what the heck was going on, and then they would probably have time to get at least 1 more shot in. good think there is no season for me.

i agree about your speed ofsound.mathems is not faster then that.anyways i shoot a hoyt and never noticed deer jumping the string and ive shot deer out to 40 yds.did the buck know you were there?just curious.
