you lucky dog you. that would be so cool to look in your backyard and see deer. I would get out there with a decoy maybe if they are chasin that hard. but then again if there is that many bucks out there maybe some rattling and grunting would work.

saltflat, I work out of my house and my office faces the field behind my house. It is a natural funnel between their bedding and feeding areas. The problem is that I live in a housing plan and have a few homes around so I have to be careful of who sees me back there. I do have a ladder stand in place but have yet to be in it at the right time. Most of these bucks were filmed mid day when I am supposed to be working and they are usuallychasing the does. I typically see the doe running first and then grab the camera and look behind her.

One of these days I'll get it right and most will be my smiling face behind one of these guys.

saltflat, I sneak in and out when I do hunt because I don't know all the neighbors and I'm sure there is a bunny hugger somewhere. I'm well within all the pa game laws, but would rather not deal with anyone.

Rhody Hunter, yes that road sign is from the PA turnpike. there is also a well traveled back road that is just on the other side of that hill. I'm sure he got clipped one night crossing over.

Don't shoot him! If he can breed on one leg then he must be one tough rascal. Let his genetics go to produce more tough ones.

ADD, in PA, during archery season, the Safety Zone is 50 yards of an occupied building, 150yds during our 2 week rifle. It's about 45 yards to the treeline from the house so I am good during archery.

TurkeyTime, I thought the same thing but he woudl make a great mount. His facial characteristics are really cool. old grey face with that dark brown patch on top. I saw this buck several times since the spring and was always amazed at how he made it around. I also wonder what his offsprings antlers will look like. Maybe get a nice buck or two out here with some drop times or something.
