Christened my Bowtech Defender today!
At about 4:30 this evening a mature doe gave me a slight quartering away shot at 30 yards. Since one of my archery tags must be used on a doe and craving deer meat like a pregnant woman craves pickles or something, i decided to harvest her. I slowly drew back settled my 30 yard pin a few inches behind her right shoulder and released she jumped, ran 10 feet then stoped started to dothe old hind legwooble dance and went down. The arrow took out both lungs and the top of her heart. It's my frst deer with my defender so i had to put a little blood on the grip to christen her.
Ahh their aint nothing like the feeling of a good clean harvest.

Great job huntmaster. I love when I get a good shot and they drop in site. I haven't christened my Defender yet. Been too picky and didn't take the first oportunity I had on a doe last week. Hopefully I will get lucky tomorrow.
Cougar, wait until the Tribute comes out. It looks sweet. I think they are dropping the Defender in '06 and replacing it with the Tribute.
Congrats

Congrats on your first. I've yet to get mine with my BlackKnight. I've never thought of bloodying (christening)your weapons when they get their first kill. I might have to start doing that to bring me better luck. LOL
