Finally got one!!!
Its about time. I set up in an area where I saw 4 doe on Saturday. About 6:10 I hear what I think is a few grunts behind me. I hit the Lil can. 5 minutes later a spike, coming fromopposite the grunting, meanders right under my stand, and stays for about 5 minutes, and then bolts. I thought it might have been my fault for moving my head, but I realize it wasn't me. As I turn around I catch movement and see the hind end of a deer. He continues to move on a path that would take him within 15 yards. I finally see his head, initially I thought I saw 6 points. He gets to a point about 12-15 yds out and I draw, surprisinglywithout any problem. He takes one step closer out of a bush hiding his vitals and I release. I hit him high and spined him. I had to put another arrow to finish him off. He expired 5 yards from my tree--no tracking needed.
Nice 7 pointer for my first buck ever, and second ever bow kill.
pic below--I hope.
