Default this may be a stupid question but..

i put my other stand on the bank above a crick where theres a rub on a small cedar tree..will the deer still come up to that spot and check it out regulary??

Well, it is doubtful to me that the deer will check a rub. But, it does tell you that a buck is in the area. If you can find the rub line, then I would definetely say to spend some time on the area.

BobCo hit it on the head... more often than not, rubs are just random happenings in the woods that let you know a buck was there... past tense emphasized. Now, as he said, if you can find a line of rubs, you may have hit on one of that buck's key travel corridors... and that's where I'd be hanging a stand. But never hang a stand over a solitary rub expecting him to come back to it.

i forgot to mention the other night before i put my stand above that rub that there was a little spike roaming around it if that helps any..i saw him last night too but he was about 30 yards away from the area..
