Default Mock scrape question

I just went to check my mock scrape ,whatI found was 1 pic in 3 day's and 1 track in the dirt .So I'm wondering if I should be moving it to another location,or should I leave it be .I've never used a dripper before so I'm not even sure that it's working ,How do I know if it's working properly?I put 1 1/2 ounces of Wildlife Research #307 in it ,should I have put more in it ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated ,I'm thinking that just maybe this buck isn't following the trail that I figured he was ,because the track appear's to be a doe.

hmmm.....i have some questions as well about mock scrapes. I have tried them but to no success. what seems to work best is pissing in existing scrapes and waiting for a nice rain storm!

Its possible that there is not a proper licking branch above the scrape

or their is too much human odor at the scrape.

The scrape isn't big enough, and the bucks don't see it yet.

or as you said, it could just be in an area that bucks don't walk.

I make about 10 mock scrapes per year, and each year 2-3 of them are a bust.

I would leave it Nubo. I don't have a lot of experience with them but the few I have made it took the deer a while to find them but once they did they kept coming back. I built one two years ago and it sat for 2 weeks, I go to hunt one morning and after the sun came up it was about 4 times the size I had made it and the deer kept coming back. Not sure how to tell if the dripper is working, smell the ground on the scrape, if it is dripping should have a pretty strong odor to it?

It's still pretty early here, bucks are just now starting to come out of bachelor herds. I have one out, been there 2 days, no joy yet. This will be my first year to try them, I will be following these threads pretty close and experimenting on my own. I should be lots smarter by the end of the season. Will try to keep things posted. We should start a thread just to keep mock scrape updates in or something. Kind of a clearinghouse for what who is doing and whether its working. Might be interesting.

I think that would be a good idea, a thread totally directed to the does work and don't work of the mock scrape .Excellent idea .
