I would just get my back up release, that I keep in my backpack.

I would shoot with my fingers also. A few years back, I left my release at home. I ended up shooting my biggest bowkill buck (9X5) with fingers. But I practiced with both also.

YUP, got a duplicate Scott Lil' Goose in my fanny pack in a zip lock bag with dressing gloves. I practice with it and shoot it every other time near and during the season. If need be, I'd make a release for my fingers from my boot lace.

I shoot the same with or without a release and haveever since I was 12. It doesn't make a 1/4" difference with me. I shot so much when I was a kid, I think I shoot instinctively and just don't know it... Hehe...

I'd go home! Can't hunt without a bow ,and if I didn't have my release I wouldn't have my bow either , since I strap my release to my bow.

I'm surprised at how many said they'd hunt with their fingers. No wonder we have so many wounded threads.

Use my teeth ala crossbow style. I'm a diehard.

In all seriousness though, I keep mine in my case, so I would have to forget my bow as well. If I did forget it in the house, i would just have to run the atv back to the house and get it.

Check and recheck your gear, I do it nonstop I hate forgetting things.

I keep mine clamped on the string loop, with the wrist buckle fastened around the cables. A better question would be what If I knew my release had failed for some reason. I practice with my fingers out to 30 yards. Limit shots to 20 yards, and 6" to the right.
