1st Time Bow Hunter; 1st Deer Harvested.
I was able to harvest my first deer last Thursday night at 6:35pm and I will never forget it!
I got in my tree stand at 5:45pm and around 6:20 I saw two does coming right by my stand but they were moving too quick so I passed on em. At 6:30 a 6 point buck emerged from the tree line across the field and was heading my way. I had Buck fever.. WOW.. I could not stop shaking...
At 6:35pm the buck was in my shooting lane and I took the 30 yard shot.. the arrow hit right behind the two front legs and went right through the deer. I was unable to see the deer crash because he ran out of my field of view so the 30 minute wait was tough. At 7:05 I started the search and found him within 10 minutes (he left us a really nice blood trail, I love my Rocket Slammerheads).
It was a great experience and I cant wait to get back out this year and take a doe. I am forever hooked on bow-hunting!
