Default Cover Scent

My friend over opening weekend, took the berries that the juniper/cedar trees have on the and mashed them with some water and made his own cover scent. He didn't see anything but thought it was a good idea. Has anyone tried this with success?

Default RE: Cover Scent

Not with berries but I have with pine needles. It works quite well provided you are hunting in an area that has that specific vegetation present otherwise I believe you do more harm than good.
