Some Scouting Pics
Got to get out for a couple hoursthe other dayto scout for the bowseason (8 more days!!) and didn't see much as far as buck sightings. I was doing most my scouting from a distance and in a field so I didn't put a lot of stock in the effort but I managed to get a few pics:
Big fat doe with some yearlings:
Another big doe:
Some turks:
Sorry for the quality of the pics... they were taken at long ranges with a digital and no tripod to steady. Best I could do. Had fun though!

RE: Some Scouting Pics
In Arkansas, turkey bow season coincides w/ deer bow season. My buddy let 5 toms and some hens walk under his box stand the other day and had no idea it was completely legal to take one of 'em.

Same here, I wont pass up a nice longbeard given the opportunity that I have a bow in hand. Chances are it might go unoticed in the woods by the deer in the arrow. The sound of the kill that is. It's a chance I'm willing to take considering a good tom is tough enough to take in the spring let alone the fall!
