Don't sweat it, man. You'll learn over time that shots out at 15-25 yards are easier than shots at 0-7 yards. The angles aren't as steep, and the ranges are closer to what you have practiced.
If you have deer at 0-10 yards, just let them work their way out to 20, and take the shot. Easier said than done, I know, but I made a bad shot on a really big buck last year at 3-5 yards, and I've replayed that scenario a million times.
Unless you're using a pendulum sight, shooting straight down will cause you to miss your mark due to the extreme close range, issues with limb clearance, nervesand steep angle. That's an incredibly difficult shot, even for a professional. Either practice those particular shots, or wait until the deer move out.

NO!I never said i have shot a lot of deer.NO i do not have problems at longer yardages.NO i have never wounded or lost a deer at 20 yards or more.I am just trying to get some help with a problemthat i seem to be having at closer yardages not get bashed for asking for help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I don't know what kind of problem you're having other than you must have made a bad shot. The more practice we have the better we become. Practice from above is mandatory if you hunt from a tree. Always just double check that sight picture before you shoot one last time.
