I comes down to what you would like to kill.If you are meat hunting take a tree stand. If you are looking for a real big buck/bull than you need to go to the ground. It is real eazy to figger out why. If the deer/elk walk on trails just like the does THEY DIE,form some tree stand hunter. If they walk 60 yards from the trail they live longer. Move your stand to the new tree the buck walked under and he will walk under your old stand.Do you think this is jsut what happens.I think that big buck knows you are there way befor you ever get to see him.

Ground hunting is a lot harder to kill, but when you do get to kill the buck/elk you have been after for 3 weeks.iT IS one of the best kills you will ever get.

This year for me has been about 50/50. I prefer to hunt from the tree stand where you can see much farther but one of the areas I've been hunting doesnt have many trees in the right location, or that are strait enough to hang a stand safely. So I set up behind some bushes on the edge of the field.
