I was out this morning and left the stand at 10am. Between 10-11am is usual for me in the early season.

In the early season most of the deer around hereare laying down by 10:00am. In fact, usually by 9:00am 90% of the deer have bedded down. The bigger bucks are usually down by 7:30-7:45am. As the rut approaches you could sit all day, every day if you have the patience. Usually by the peak I'd be a nervous wreck if I were to try to set all day here in southcentral Mich...and I'd have to have several dozen arrows

My brother in law called me at 1:30pm and said he was looking at an 8 point buck, just standing in his driveway. The deer was between his house and garage.
There's no grass theirthe deer could eat, just dirt and small rocks from cars pulling in and out all the time.
My brother in lawworks on engines alot,so there's always the smell of grease and oil.
He told me the deer didn't look nervous and stayed around about 10 minutes.
I wasn't hunting because it was about 80 degree's and I figured all the deer would be beded,so you never know.So hunt when you can.
