i used cheap rayovac's in mine the last time. they are like 2 for $5 at walmart. had it out 10 days and still had 29% battery left on it. they lasted better than the energizer i used the first time. they cost $7 for one

My batteries have lasted about 300 pics- and about 50 movies before I have replaced them. I havn't got to try it in cold weather yet.

The first battery I used was a Rayovac alkaline and it took 84 pictures.
