Why do people...
Why do people have to be such a#%holes when it comes to deer hunting? Sat was my opening day and it was a beautiful moring being somewhere around 60 degrees and still as could be. I climbed up and got set. When daylight hit i noticed something white in the middle of my plot. Of course I didnt see anything so I got down and went to inspectthose white spots. Come to find out someone had poured about 100 mothballs in the middle of my foodplot!I just dont understand why people have to be like that. I was way off the property line but I guess not far enough for them. Its pitiful when you invest so much time and money in something and people want to act like that.

Go ahead and vent LA. Things like that really piss a guy off. And then just put it behind you. Clean it up and let them win that battle and know they will not win the war. I have jealous idiots who vandalize stands, wreck my gates and do all sorts of things to make my hunting less enjoyable.I try not to let it show and just fix what they undo so they know that I will not give up or give in to their ignorance and that I will not let them get to me. And then I try to watch like a hawk. Have set up motion cams to catch them etc. If they try to set up a tree stand, I remove it and leave a note that they can pick it up at the county sheriff's department. It has really paid off. Instead of it being a common occurrence, it is only about every other year now.

That would really tick me off. What right do they have to pull a stunt like that. I would be pretty darn angry. What did you do about it? I am assuming that you removed the mothballs but did you get a chance to find out who might have done it?

If you have an idea that it was your neighbor, just use those mothballs they provided and put them on all major fence crossings to their property.
I would be pretty hot and be setting up some trail cameras high up in some trees getting pictures of the idiots.

I would try to catch them, and take a picture or set up a game camera if you have one. Then I would report them, since what they are doing is illegal.
I think I would start hunting a different type of animal. Humans have pretty crappy survival instincts so it shouldn't be too hard. I'm not saying shoot them, just try and catch them in the act and report them. It would become a quest for me!

Are you sure you didn't accidentally plant the BioLogic Mothball plants?
Look at the positives, at least there weren't any moths eating up your new camo.
Just Kiddin' LA. Just be the bigger person, clean it up, tag out and you'll be all the better for it. Then again, it never hurts to do a little "detective work" and find out whodunit. Who knows? they might love mothballs?! orlove that sweet essence ofskunk pee air freshener in their car?!
I knew a guy who oncehad some trespassing bowhunters parked on his ground, so he went to the hardware store and bought the heaviest gauge chain he could find, and a HUGE master Lock. So, as a gesture ofhis kindness,he chained their truck to the tree. LOL

Well I picked them all up but we had gotten a slight rain and they had melted some. I wonder how long that odor will stay in the ground? And yeah I have a pretty good idea of who did it. He will know when I kill a deer because the gut pile will be located at the bottomstep of his stand.
