Default Silvermax clothing

Has anyone used the Medalist Silvermax clothing? This seems to be the same as the X-Scent clothing (same technology) just branded differently. I was looking at this as a base layer to wear under my bug suit.
Any opinions?

Not with that particular brand of silver lined clothing but I have used Cabelas Xstatic, same prinicple, and am very happy with the results. I may even pick up another pair for this season yet.

Thanks for the info. This clothing has is the Xstatic stuff. When you say that you are happy with it, are you talking about the scentfree ability, or the insulation ability?

Both. I actually wore it later into the season than I had expected. I bought the tech silk weight version of it and actually wore it until well into the low 30's.

I also feel that I had more shot opportunities because of it. I had several buck within shooting range last year as well as a variety of doe. I don't recall being winded whatsoever.

I personally wear the Xscent and can vouch for its effectiveness. I hunt in South Carolina where temps can soar into the 100s. Last week I climbed intomy stand at around 5:30pm, wearing my Xscent light weight base layers and my bug tamer. Before I knew it I was drenched in sweat from head to toe. I had deer all around my stand and I never got scented! Of course, I was about 20ft up in a treeand I also use earth cover scent.
I believe Wal-mart sells Xscent now for cheap. IMO its worth the money.

I am not completely positive on this , but I believe that the Silvermax brand has more of the silver fibers in it than the X-Scent brand. I know that the X-scent ( which I have 2 sets of) have 5% of the X-static fibers in it. I know that after I bought them I found that the other brand I saw had 10% and I think that it was the Silvermax. Not for certain but I think that is what I remember.

I thought they also worked quite well in allowing heat to escape in warmer weather. I will have them on come opening day next weekend.

I just bought the x-scent stuff with 5% x-static at Walmart. Its about $20 here for the top or bottom, I've read posts where the pieces were like 14 each at some wally worlds. I paid about $10 for the socks. Will give it a try for the first time tomorrow afternoon.

Since its been in the high 80's I've been using the UA loose gear
had the slivermax shirt on in the lot , but changed when I started
soaking thru it. The UA does get the sweat off ya better. The silvermax
I'll use when the temps drop a little.
