RE: are used bows good
i have a used bow i got at the archery shop one of the guys in there gets a new one every year and sells his old one it works great but id advise you to take a friend who knows a little about bows before getting a used bow you have to check the limbs and riser for defects cams and string can be replaced but the riser and limbs on a used bow may not be covered by a warranty

I've bought a few used bows over the years. The one thing to keep in mind is that a used bow is often already registered by the original owner and most manufacturers do not allow the warranty to be transferred to a new person.

I just sold a buddy my "used" Legacy...and he got a SWEET bow....better than new with custom strings/cables, top-of-the-line accessories,etc....and he got a GREAT deal!
Are used bows good...??? It depends on the bow! Was it any good to begin with? How old is it? How well was it cared for?

when buying something used like that it helps to know the person who owned it or to have someone check it over who knows about bows.
