I wonder if it would be alright to store my hunting cloths in scent free bags, in a rubber maid container?[&:]

My old man is a diesel mechanic. For years he went strait from work to his stand with his navy blue work uniform. Guess what he killed plenty of deer that way!......................Hey maybe we should spray diesel fuel on our hunting close. It must be a good cover scent!

I have been using Rubber maid totes for years and have had no problems getting deer to come in, I wash my clothes often through out the hunting season and store them in my Rubber maid tote with fresh earth scent wafers between each layer of folded clothes. I have deer litterly walk with in 5 feet of me while on theground turkey hunting. I leave my totes onmy enclosed porch or in the garage out of season. No problems at all.

I can't find any posts that said that the rubbermaid containers were scent proof.

But I see many responses to the question, where do you store your boots...in rubbermaid containers.

Heck, my rubber boots smell like rubber.

This is the reason for the baking soda and scent pads on the bottom of the boots sprayed with raccoon or red fox urine.

yup rubber boots stink too..but until deer recognize that smell..any rubber smell for that matter and associate it with danger... a person may get away with it... As for human scent most deer after they get some age on them associate human scent with danger...
