How would you scout this spot?
My season starts in 2 weeks, and I would love to go out and do some scouting, ( I stay out of there all year, so I dont run anything off of my spot). The only problem is, I cant do any scouting unless I go right back to my spot. In other words, I cant see the 11 acres I hunt from any roads, or driveways or anything else. I would have to drive,(or walk) right back to my spot. So, how would you do your scoting for this spot?

First of all, scout it in the Spring, then you don't have to go back there now. Scouting that area now could be very harmful. Can you scout from an ajoining field, or some other point a few hundred yards away? I would not get very close at all if you can help it. Do you have your treestands out yet? If yes, you may just have to scout from your stands, and then move them accordingly. Make sure you play the wind when scouting just as you would when hunting. You may be a good distance away, but the old wind will take your scent to the area if you are not careful. Good luck and good shooting.

by staying out of there all this time you missed out on all the education you would have needed.
start scouting this winter when things are easier to see and record., then stop a month or so before your season starts. if you even need to go that long.
as of scouting right now.
just look for the obvious sign and hunt that this year, then move around to different locations through out theseason as you hunt.
giving each area a week or two to air out before returning.
thereare more optionsbuti`ll letothers have a chance to air there views.
