Used to buy a new one every year, shot all kinds and any of the companies that have been around for a while make a good product. Me I shoot Mathews now.

Is there any nice quick shooting bow set-ups for $400 or less out there. I've been shooting a Darton for a long time and will probably try to get a new bow around x-mas or right after this bow season. I like the Darton, but would like to get something that isn't a dinosaur.(My bow is about 15-20 years old)

This is a difficult question to answer. Now, BEAR in mind that I would never dare tell someone to use the same type bow as me. That would be too over BEARing on my part. So check out what others have stated and I'm sure the BEAR facts will tell the tail.

Oh, did I mention? Never go into the woods without a BEAR.

I currently own a Mathews Legacy and a PSE Nova. Both are excellent bows -- even if the Nova is one of PSE's entry level models. I have a friend who owns a Hoyt and he is quite happy with it. Most important is what YOU are happy with. Like it's been said in past replies, go to your local archery shop and try as many as you can to see which feels right for you.

please e-mail me with bow name & what broke & I will see if something can be done
High Country really does half good bows

the bow that you buy is in your eyes the best bow
