NJ-Bowhunter

For those of you not familiar with the weather here on the East Coast the past few days: Pouring rain. Yep, I was in my stand last night from 4:30 - 7:30pm and it poured on me the entire time (saw nothing worth mentioning). My bow was drenched; like I dumped it in a lake. When I got home I towel dried it, used my wife's blowdryer for 5-10 min. and sprayed some silicone spray on my broadheads to prevent rust. I plan on waxing the string today -- I wanted it to fully dry before waxing so not to trap water in it. Is there anything that I am missing? Should anything/ something else be done to protect my bow? Two Beards

I usually use one of the small cans of compressed air for
the hard to reach spots-limb bolts, cam, sights, etc. I used
to get mine at Office Depot, but found them at Wal-Mart for
a little less $$$.

I would hang it somewhere in the open because if you seal it up in a case it could mildew.
Wax the string and it should be fine.

Don't forget to put cam lube on your wheels and cams! I shot the range last week and got rained on. I let the bow hang in my room and then oiled the sights, and lubed the cam. Then waxed the string and everything came out alright.
