Looks like the fawn is just starting to lay down. It is not quite all the way down yet.

Umm....yea I'm pretty sure the fawn is just laying down. Look at how both sets of legs are tucked underneath it, and how the front legs are going down before the rear. That fawn is laying down for a nap while it's mommy munchs on some food.
Ok you guys...it's an owl...feathers on the legs (hawks dont have them)...Hunting at night (hawks don't hunt at night) and somebody said look at the "hawks" face..but I don't even see it...it's covered by its wing....
So anyways you guys..its an owl
Awesome pics BTW, how many people do you think get pics of a fawn in the process of laying down..or better yet...get an owl in a pic right as its about to catch something....you should look into some contests for game camera pics...because as far as I know, that is a rare photo there and you might be able to win something with it. Grrreat pics, thanks for sharing.
