Face paint or mask?
I was shooting with my mask and gloves today and noticed that it is a little more difficult to find my anchor point. Not really bad but it was noticable. It took a couple extra seconds and that could make a big difference on a quick shot. Who uses face paint and is this why?

I don't use face paint but would be willing to wager that would you just mentioned is one of the major reasons why some people do. That and more ventilation in warmer weather. As for shooting with a mask on, it is just something that you have to practice with in order to be proficient while using.

RE: Face paint or mask?
I use face paint for that very reason you stated. With a mask on its very hard for me to find my anchor point. I really have 2 anchor points, vane touching my lower lip and my nuckle behind my jaw and with a mask on i can only find the one behind my jaw. Plus its alot cooler during the early fall hunts. Granted the bugs are a bit of a problem but i deal with them.

Face mask , I can find my anchor point with my eyes closed since it's simply putting the base knuckle of my thumb right under my ear . The face mask I use is comfortable , keeps bugs off my face , and it totally obliterates my facial features . The last reason was cited by my wife who also opined that I should probably wear it all the time ...
