RE: IS THE MOON THAT BIG OF A FACTOR?
Last year I hunted all day during the full moon. Most activity was around 10 am till 1:00. No deer activity in the early morning I missed a nice buck at 12:10. Just 5 minutes after getting to my stand. All in all I would say activity is good during the mid day for 3 days before and after a full moon. This year I plan on sleeping in on full moon days and try to get to my stand around 9:30 or 10.
I think I might be on to something. Be on stand 1 hour before the moonrise and set. When either the moon rise or set happens around the same time as the suns rise or set BE IN YOUR STAND!

I have very little luck when there is a full moon. I do think that cloud cover, and weather help this situation. I also agree that you need to be in the woods to be successful.
A bad day of hunting beats a good day of work!
