RE: Attractants
Illegal to hunt over here .
A bud at a different site told me about an incident last year where a CO made the landowner dig up his mineral lick for hunting over it . It took a backhoe to remove enough dirt to satisfy him .
I have used fruit and vanilla scents to attract deer many times , all that showed up were does and younger bucks .

I havetried about every kind of mineral attractant on the market and most seem to all get the same results. The site will get massively dug out and you will see a few doe sightings during the day but most activity will be at night. In my experience you can save yourself some money by getting a few packages of cheap ordinary table salt and pouring it over an old rotten stump. Over time the deer will dig the stump clean out of the ground. To make the site even more appealing to them, buy the largest jar of peanut butter you can possibly find, unscrew the lid and screw or nail it to a nearby tree then screw the jar back on and cut or saw the bottom and alittle of the top part of the jar out. They will tear it up! Dear love peanut butter!!
