Climber Question

RE: Climber Question
I use the Ol'man stand Original and Grand and they are super quiet and comfortable, pack easy, setup quiet and easy and I feel are the best stand on the market for all aspects. Alot of members here swear by the Summit line and although a great stand, I don't like it as much especially have trying one and watching other hunters use them...to me they don't operate quite as effeciently..but that's one bowyers opinion.

I use the Lone Wolf and it's the quietest climber I've used but it's still a climber. You will always make some noise putting it on the tree and climbing. I would always prefer to hunt a fixed stand first but the climber gives me more versatility to go were the deer are.

RE: Climber Question
You can't beat climbing up a couple tree pegs and hoping into your fixed stand....but they all have there application, and climbers come in handy quite often.I hunt out of my climber probobly 80% of the time. I have a lone wolf hand climber combo, and I can almost set it up silently. It is a little uncomfortable for long sits. The old man stands are great too.
The biggest thing to avoid noise is practice! The more you practice setting up and climbing is the quicker and quieter you will be. You will probobly be pretty clumsy and noisey the first few times, but it gets better. Also, the tree you are climbing can make a huge difference in noise.Really hard bark, or flaky bark can be loud, but something like a maple or popple works nice.
Good luck
