RE: who shot this huge buck ? (pic)
I saw one in a hunting mag. that was poached but I don't know if that is the one. I think it netted out to 198". It was in Canada somewhere and the guys that poached it were from down south somewhere. Am I even close?
Data I to can see a few points to be deducted off the Koberstein buck, unfortuanetly they would really add up to alot of inches.
On December 14, 1991 I took the antlers to the Lacombe Fish and Game Club measurement day. Member Dave Powell scored the antlers at 237 5/8 with twenty seven (27) inches of deduction. The net score was 210 5/8. After the sixty (60) day drying period it was scored by Randy Bean at 207 2/8. The deer was not re-scored until January of 1995 when I took it to the Willow Valley Trophy Club at Pincher Creek in Alberta, Canada. There a panel scored the deer at 207 3/8. Subsequently it was scored by an official B & C panel chaired by Jack Graham. Due to differences in interpretation two (2) score sheets were prepared - 213 3/8 and 197 4/8. Boone and Crockett accepted the score of 197 4/8. At panel measurement, B &C scored the final measurement at 188 3/8 - lowest score of any measurement
I am with Shed on this one,If he grew it,score it without deductions. It would definately make it more fair.

Net score is something for the books - me ? Give me gross score anytime and I'll be a happy man !
I'd MUCH rather kill a 190" buck with 45" of deductions than a 145" clean buck anyday

John ,If I remember correctly from the pic of the Dryden deer,He was basically a clean 10 point with alot more height to his points and definately alot more mass.
I read the article about the poached deer and almost made me sick. The man who shot the deer was fined $4000 and lost his hunting rights for 2 years.
