2 part question....
1)What year did archeryfirst become an official event in the olympic games?
2) There was a long absence before archery was reinstated at the olympic games for good. What year was it reinstated , and what was the reason for the long absence?

Just so there's no confusion. After the very first year it became an official event , it was again an event for three other olympic games (three seperate years) before it's long absence.
clue... the long absence covered a span of 52 years.
