I know I'd definitely thin him from the herd... to put those antlers on my wall! He looks pretty good from where I'm sitting. If he's a "trash" buck on your lease there must be some giants there. Good luck.

It's hard to tell how old he is.......Keep in mind this is TX, very small bodied deer...... I would arrow that buck in a heart beat around my neck of the woods

Me too!!!! Thats a great buck. You guys are very blessed to hunt where thats a "trash buck" Theres folks where I live that have never seen anything bigger that a spike. Im talkin bout 70 year old non-stop hunters.

The mature bucks in the area we hunt, that live to see 5-7 years old generally weigh in around 150lbs...one of the fellers on the place last year was lucky enough to harvest a bruiser of a 4.5 yr old that scored 153 P/Y it only weighed around 135 lbs...

The other hunters on the lease have some pics they took last year of a couple of mature bucks that would push 160-170 P/Y, I'm checking my cam again this weekend and will have some more pics for a diferent area...
