Default Bowhunters usually sit still and wait

A bowhunter usually sits still and waits for what's coming. I was reading about the HSUS's future attempt to ban bowhunting. This is the one thing that we cannot wait on for. I read that they are raising money by selling calanders. We need to unite and find some way to raise money to help keep our sport alive. We must face the facts, our sport is in danger. Any ideas on what we could do to help our sport?

I agree with you about bowhunters need to ban together well all hunters need to ban together. Its sad to read on some of these forums about ppl cutting down rifle hunters and crossbows hunters/seasons because right now its BOWHUNTING that PETA and the HSUS's is coming after. I don't know how things work in the USA but up here in Canada us hunters bring in way too much money for the government to take it away. and if they did succeed it wouldn't last long when they realize how much money they will lose.

Only will are voices be heard and make a difference is join an orgaization that supports our cause and I strongly suggest that everyone here join there own state bowhunters association. These organizations support our right to bowhunt and if you want to be heard than be active. You'll receive newsletters on issues on the state level and who's fighting against us in D.C.. You would be surprized sometimes. Bobby

Snowman69 hit it on the head. We need to band together as hunters, not just bowhunters or rifle hunters. Maybe someone doesn't agree with the way another hunts but the fact of the matter is we are all hunters reguardless of the type of weapon. If we continue bashing the other hunters for using a crossbow or a rifle, we are just adding fuel to the fire for those opposed to hunting. Keep doing it and they will have so much against us, we are just giving them what they want.

Lets stick together and be positive about our sport, the entire sport, HUNTING. The less we give them the better it is for us.
