Sorry I didn't mean to imply that you had to have a new bow. The bow I have now will probaly last me a long time. I kept the other 2 I have bought new for 6-8 years apiece.

I knew what you meant and it wasn't directed to you when I was talking about people buying new bows every year, more like in general terms that seems to be the trend.
When it comes to older bows I too have a cut off. More like a technology cut off if you get my drift. Some of the older compounds were very bad designs and aren't reliable at all. But if its within the last 10-15 years and has a solid design I have no problem buying it. Most I sell but I am allways looking for a good backup bow.
