RE: Summit Viper
It is probably not as easy, safe or comfortable as Viper or Bullet...it is a smaller stand but I have no complaints so far. It allows me to shoot from a seated position and that was important feature for me...

Right form their web site, you just have to buy it in seperate peices.
They are a great company, got a Viper XLS of of E-bay. Didn't have directions or the video, e-mailed Summit saying I would pay for both. Got an e-mail back stating they were on their way free-of-charge. Can't ask for anything better than that!

RE: Summit Viper
Honestly, The summits gottta be one of THE best stands on the market. evry year they innovate. I think my favorite for '04 is the rapid stirrups for the new climbers, along with the new radius in the arms of the climbers. I have been using summit for about 3 years and I cannot believe that I waite dthat long to get one. I have the Goliath and am looking to purchase a new cobra X-4. The stand are just sweet. I also like the swift tree climbing sticks. I put up a couple of loc-ons the other day and man were those sticks sweet. I also used my FREE safety harness from my Goliath like a linemans belt as they suggest in the instructions and man is that nice. Trusting it was the hard part. My buddy kept reminding me "Just trust it" I did and it was so much nicer putting up a stand with the complete harness. although if I would make one recommendation on the swift tree, it would be to put steps n both sides, so it would be two steps all the way up so your leg does not go into a spasm when hanging a stand. If both feet were on the same plane that would be sweet. Even if they just put them on the very top stick wre you would stop to stand to hang a stand. Anyway just my .02 cents. You will really enjoy the summit stands, there entire product line is sweet. Check out the buck steps too. OK I am out before I sound like a freakin commercial.[8D]

I bought the Summit Python XLS over two years ago and it is a great stand. The first one I bought developed a dimple in the frame from the leg rest. I called Summit and they sent me a brand new one in less than a week! No questions asked. I have been using that stand ever since. It climbs quickly and quietly and is very comfortable. I can't tell you the number of times I have fallen asleep in that thing. You can't go wrong with one of their products.
