Rocky Mountain Gator
Has anyone tested the Rocky Mountain Gator mechanical broadhead?? In the past I have used NAP Spitfire broadheads. Last year when I purchased two packs of the spitfires, I noticed the broadheads seem to open hard (I don't know if anyone else noticed the same). On top of that, I had one of them fail to open on a nice 8 point last year. Luckily, the broadhead penetrated just enough to tip the heart. Anyway, this year I will be switching - either to a better mechanical (my wish) or back to the same old trusty Muzzy.

For the spitfires, the tighter you tighten the blade retention screws
the easier the blades open. I always adjusted mine prior to hunting
and never had any problems with them opening. Honestly, they are
a great mechanical broadhead.

I have a review on my website of the Gator. Very good heads overall.
