Check out http://www.muckbootcompany.com/
I bought a pair of Muck Boots from Farm and Fleet last year for $40. They have a rubber sole and 5mm neoprene on the rest. Super warm and very quiet. These boots are tons cheaper than name brand camo boots that do the same thing. I am quite happy with mine.

Don't know the exact brand but picked up a pair from Galyans this past winter. $29 (on super sale)
600 grams of thinsulate and "air bob" style soles. Spend a few weekends shooting sporting clays this winter, they worked great. I think they were $69 regularily.

Lacross is the way to go, I have seen deer follow foot prints of regular boats and the deer walked right over my rubber boat and had no idea that I crossed there. Lacross make all kinds of different insolated rubber boats. Mine area 800 and I still wear them in November in MN, sometimes I have to wear extra layer of socks.

Why rubber? Boy you obviously never lived in the South. Why in Louisiana , we have water whose favorite food is leather. Have you ever hunted in an area where the average depth of water was at least a foot a far as the eye can see? Get yourself a pair of LaCrosse boots, prefably insulated. You will love 'em even in a Kansas snow storm and if you ever go to Gods country, you can even use them there.
